1. Use of the service

FixMyFile.ai is provided as an online tool to attempt repair, conversion, and compression of digital files. The service is offered on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without any guarantee that any particular file will be successfully repaired or converted.

You may use FixMyFile.ai only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use FixMyFile.ai. If you are using the service on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

FixMyFile.ai is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you are under that age, you may not use the service.

3. Files and content you upload

You are responsible for the files and content you upload to FixMyFile.ai. By uploading a file, you confirm that:

• You have the necessary rights or permissions to use and process the file; and
• Your use of the file with FixMyFile.ai does not violate any applicable law, contract, or third-party rights.

You agree that you will not upload files that:

• Contain illegal content or material, including child sexual abuse material;
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
• Contain malicious code, malware, or attempts to compromise security;
• Are used to harass, abuse, or violate the privacy of others.

Files are processed automatically and stored temporarily, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. No guarantee of repair or recovery

Although FixMyFile.ai is designed to use advanced techniques and pipelines to attempt file repair, conversion, and compression, there is no guarantee that:

• Any particular file will be repaired, recovered, or converted;
• The repaired or converted file will meet your expectations;
• All corrupted or missing data will be restored.

Some files may be too damaged, incomplete, or encrypted for the service to process successfully. You understand and agree that you use the service at your own risk.

5. Backups and data loss

FixMyFile.ai is not a backup service. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any original files and any important data. You should not rely on FixMyFile.ai as the sole copy or recovery path for critical information.

We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or inability to recover the contents of your files, nor for any damages arising from such loss.

6. Donations

FixMyFile.ai is offered as a free tool, supported by optional donations. Donations do not create a commercial service-level agreement (SLA) and do not guarantee any particular outcome, priority, or level of support.

Donations are voluntary and are used to help cover infrastructure, development, and maintenance costs. Any reference to suggested amounts or “what a donation supports” is informational and not a binding promise.

7. Acceptable use and limitations

You agree not to misuse FixMyFile.ai, including by:

• Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the service, infrastructure, or other users;
• Attempting to reverse engineer or probe the system in ways that bypass normal usage;
• Using automated scripts or bots to generate excessive traffic or abuse the free nature of the service;
• Using the service in violation of applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to apply technical measures such as rate limiting, file size restrictions, and file type whitelisting to maintain the stability, security, and integrity of the service.

8. Intellectual property

The FixMyFile.ai website, branding, and underlying code (excluding third-party libraries and tools) are owned or licensed by the operator of FixMyFile.ai. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the service itself without permission, except as allowed by applicable law.

You retain ownership of your own files and content. Uploading your files to FixMyFile.ai does not transfer ownership to us.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS-IS” AND “AS-AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. WE DO NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE ANY PARTICULAR LEVEL OF RECOVERY, REPAIR, OR CONVERSION FOR ANY FILE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF FIXMYFile.ai, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

• THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE DONATED TO SUPPORT FIXMYFile.ai IN THE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM; OR
• USD $0, IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY DONATION.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, the above limitations shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of FixMyFile.ai at any time, with or without notice. This includes changing file size limits, supported formats, throughput, or other aspects of the service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of FixMyFile.ai after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are intended to be interpreted in a way that is consistent with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction. If you require specific governing law or venue provisions (for example, a specific U.S. state), you should consult a legal professional to customize this section.
